It's a...

 Baby GIRL Comeford!!

Calin picked this out for his soon to be new little sister!!

We had a plus side for having a boy or a girl so we were excited either way.  But it is going to be fun to have a girl!! Although my shopping habits might increase... ;)

News

For anybody out there besides my family (they saw this a while ago), that actually read my blog, you get to be the first to know...

And for your enjoyment, some more takes.  For those who think we may torture our child to get these faces you would be wrong.  We merely put him in his crib when it was neither bed time or nap time and this is the reaction we got.  He was only in there for maybe a minute total while we snapped some shots though, so his torture didn't last too long! ;)

And my favorite...

Stay tuned...tomorrow we find out what we are having!!

Trip to Salt Lake

Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake for one of Robby's cousins weddings.  It was also a good excuse to have some new fun and do some shopping!  We drove up on Thursday night after Robby got off work.  Calin did great in the car, and fell asleep around Nephi.  Unfortunately once we got to the hotel he woke right up and was up until 11:30.  Oh well, it was a good trade off for an easier drive than other times we've had.  Friday morning we had a lazy morning, enjoyed breakfast, and then headed down to Cornbelly's.  By the time we got on the road Calin was tired so we drove until he fell asleep.  While he slept in the car, Robby went to explore Cabela's.

Enjoying his nap in the car.

After Calin's short morning nap (it's always about 1/2 an hour), we took him in to see all the animals inside.  We have a museum here in St. George that has a bunch of taxidermied animals.  Cabela's was way better and it was free!! Calin was loving all the cool animals even if they weren't alive!

After the Cabela's adventure, we headed over to Cornbelly's.  I'm so glad we went and explored Cornbelly's for the first time!  Even though Calin is still young, there was tons of fun stuff for him to enjoy!

Of course a picture in the big chair!

Calin loves pumpkins and they were everywhere!  He would go and try to pick them up!

Loving the fall decor!

Help? Robby doesn't look to desperate...

Calin driving the tractor like a pro!

The boys and the tractor.
Calin loved all the buttons and levers to push and pull!

Enjoying the high seas!

Tractor ride through the hay!

Love his cute face!  Even with his poor scab...:(

Trying to make it to the target!

Corn maze!  It was awful by the end because the wet clay mud stuck like crazy to our shoes.  All 3 of us were hauling an extra inch of mud on the bottom of our shoes.

Calin didn't care! He was loving it.  He kept picking up kernels of corn as we went.

Farmer Calin!

This boy needs a real horse!

Robby showing off his roping skills.

Hay ride!

A rare picture...

Calin LOVED this giant slide!  This was their 3rd time down and he just smiled and laughed the
whole way.  He would get down to the bottom saying "mo" "mo!"

Love that smile!

Cow train ride!
We also enjoyed some delicious hot chocolate and pumpkin spice donuts.  After all the fun, we headed back up to Salt Lake for some lunch at Chipotle and some shopping at Carter's. Then we headed back to the hotel for Calin's nap.  My sister picked me up that afternoon so we could go and get some pedicures.  It was a nice, relaxing break!  Then Robby met us at dinner at Kneaders with my sister and Erich and Allie.  It was fun to visit and hang out with them for a while.  After dinner we went over to the mall and wandered around some stores for a while.

We stopped to decide where to go and Becca was entertaining Calin with her phone.
He decided to plop himself right there on the floor in the middle of the mall.

After the mall we headed back to the hotel to get Calin put to bed.  Saturday we woke up and headed over to Wheeler Farms after breakfast to let Calin enjoy the animals.  He sure does love animals!

He also loves his rocks!

Checking out the funny chickens!

Cousins checking out the rabbits!

Calin's first real pig encounter!

Exploring down by the water!

The cousins and uncles were all chasing the geese around which made me super nervous because they were just as big if not bigger than Calin.  Then he found this little pigeon to chase around.  That was much better and entertaining!

After Wheeler farms we gave Calin his short morning nap and stopped by Babys'r'us for a quick shopping stop. Then we went back to the hotel to change and get ready to head over to Robby's cousin Cody's wedding.  It was a really nice luncheon/reception.  We had Cafe Rio for lunch and then enjoyed a lot of nice musical presentations for the bride and groom.  It was fun to see lots of family.  After about 2 1/2 hours at the reception Calin had had it so he and I left to go and get another nap in at the hotel.  The reception was pretty much done.  Robby just stayed to help clean up and visit with his family some more.  After Calin's nap we headed over to Gardner Village.  We met up with Becca and Erich and Allie again to explore.  It was CRAZY!! It was witches night out and there were way too many people there.  You could hardly move around anywhere.  Becca had some friends kids with her she was babysitting and that made it even crazier.  We did not last long there. We did manage to go into our favorite little book shop and find a new Halloween book.  And we did spot a few of the fun witches with the little bit of wandering we did.

Calin loved the pumpkins and the witches too.

Horrible picture of all of us, but we were trying to snap the picture as fast as possible before more crowds passed by!

Doesn't he look thrilled?

After Garnder's we went and ate dinner at Red Robin.  I realized after dinner I didn't get any pictures with Becca or Erich and Allie on all our adventures!  They were there though! I also didn't get any pictures at the wedding. :( After dinner Becca had to get the kids home.  Erich and Allie came to our hotel to visit for a little bit before they headed home.  So glad we got to spend time with them all while we were up there!!

Sunday we packed up and headed home after breakfast.  It was a great trip and a nice break from the norm here.  Glad we got to go and enjoy all the fun fall festivities!  It didn't hurt that the weather actually felt like fall up there too. We had to get out all our warm clothes for the trip, but it was nice cool crisp fall weather.  A great trip!

September and October Happenings

We went exploring one Saturday and found some cool rock "caves" and a great little "pond" left from heavy rains where Calin enjoyed throwing and dropping rocks.  He especially loved when Robby or I would grab a really big rock and drop it in to make a huge splash!

On our way out we tried taking a short cut.  I almost ran into this giant spider web.  Glad Robby caught that before I walked right through it, because if you look at this picture closely (sadly I left my camera in the car and only had my crappy phone) you can see a GIANT spider right in the middle of the web.  Yikes! Glad I missed that!

One Monday, at the end of September, Calin woke up with a rash after his nap.  It progressively got bigger and worse so we took him to the doctor.  At that point they could not identify exactly what it was, but gave us some cream to put on it and to follow up the next day.  It cleared away quickly that night and did not reappear in the morning after sleeping.  However, then after his morning nap it showed up again in a new area.  After talking to the doctor she said it was hives, but said there was no real sure way to tell what it was from.  So we watched it for the week and were supposed to go in again if it didn't go away.  It got better each day that week, but still showed up, but just after naps on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, less and less each time.  By Friday it was no longer showing up.  So weird!! However, that weekend talking to Robby's mom, we found out that he had this happen one random time when he was little too.  So odd that something like that that shows up for a random week could be genetic??!!  Robby thinks they are both allergic to naps...

We had a fun afternoon in early October setting up our Halloween decorations and playing with Calin outside! I couldn't resist snapping some pictures of his cuteness!!

Conference weekend was a nice chance to have a Sunday at home and for Robby not to have any meetings!  It was also great to listen to the few chunks of conference that we were able in between nap time and keeping Calin entertained.  Sunday morning was also extra wonderful because we had some awesome visitors!

My friend and roommate Taryn, from college, stopped by for a quick visit on their way home to California from Cedar.  It was so great to see her and her husband Ryan and to meet her cute three kids!! Their youngest Paige is a week older than Calin, so it was fun to watch them run "play" in the same vicinity. ;)  Love her and wish we got to see each other more often!

Robby started one of his many projects he is always working on and enlisted Calin to help crumple newspaper during Saturday afternoon conference.
