November!!

Calin and Clara have been wanting to take showers instead of baths lately.  This was Clara's first shower.  She loved it.  They both love to just stand there with the warm water running over them.

Our little cheeser taking her own pictures of everyone.

Clara has been loving being "naked baby" lately.  Whenever we get her dressed  or in pajamas she requests to be naked baby.  This just means she runs around the house for a while in her diaper.  Calin also now loves to be "naked baby" with Clara.  It delays getting ready in the morning, but it does keep them happy and preoccupied long enough some mornings for me to get a shower or something done while they play together being "naked babies".

Allie and Erich came down for a wedding on weekend early in November.  We loved being able to spend some time with them briefly while they were here. We took them to dinner at the Tiki Island Grill and Grandma Lundberg came along too. They all found something pretty entertaining on Allie's phone!

Washington does a Veteren's day parade every year.  We went to the parade with lots of our playgroup friends.  It was lots of fun and the kids loved it! Before the parade started they handed out flags for all the little kids.

These three loved waving their flags and dancing to the marching bands when they came by.

Festival of Trees!

Calin of course was so excited about the star wars tree! This fall he has become obsessed with all things star wars.   He started playing with Robby's star wars hot wheels cars.  He started learning about each of the characters.  Robby started telling him more and more about start wars and showed him a book that Robby had from when he was younger.  We started checking out star wars books from the library and it just blew up from there.  Now he loves everything star wars and so of course this tree was on of his favorite!

And then he saw this one and it was even cooler!!

Two cute kids after church one Sunday!  Aunt Becca always finds such cute clothes!

Playing at Great Grandmas one day and we had to go so Calin needed me to take a picture so he could remember his animal train set-up!

It's so hard to keep the kitchen floor clean ALL the time so whenever the kids want to play on it and roll around it always grosses me out.  But she was so cute!

A couple days after Thanksgiving we woke up and it was raining leaves!  So we started the long process of raking them and getting them cleaned up.  The kids were thrilled to play in the leaves though.  They loved to get buried in them.  Calin was burrying Clara here. She like it until someone covered her face and then she would want to get out.

Getting some leaves to throw.

Love these two cute kids!

Where did Calin and Clara go!!?

Between Halloween and the swords from being musketeers and now star wars Calin has been loving swords and sword fighting and light sabers.  He puts these sweat bands on to store his swords in.  Robby also made him some light sabers and a jedi robe.  Clara watches Calin and does whatever he does so now we occasionally find her with her swords tucked in to her too.  She sure does love that older brother and loves to be just like him!

She also has been loving trying out the strider bike.  It's hard to get Calin to give her a turn but she loves to be like Calin and try it out.  She can't do much more than walk along but that's how Calin started so it'll be fun to watch her learn!

Halloween Festivities

October always seems so long and I think we will have plenty of time to do all the fun things that we want to do.  However, we always get down to the last week and then cram everything in.  So here are some of the fun Halloween things we did the last week of October.

One of my favorite October traditions is making pumpkin sugar cookies and frosting and decorating them like jack-o-lanterns.  This year the kids helped me cut out some of the cookies.  The kids had lots of fun, mostly I think because they got to get all messy with the flower!

We made the cookies one night and then frosted the cookies the next night.  Both kids frosted a couple cookies and then ate their bodyweight in chocolate chips.  It was lots of fun though!

Another night we carved our pumpkins.  Both kids were pretty skeptical about digging in their pumpkins but once they got going it wasn't too bad.  Although Clara would make a pretty good disgusted face every time she scooped out a big handful of pumpkin innards.

Both kids helped choose their pumpkins faces.  When I asked Clara what kind of mouth she stuck her tongue out so thus her tongue out pumpkin!  Calin was able to help do some of the carving this year with some help.  He was pretty happy to be able to help!

The night before Halloween we had our ward Halloween party and trunk or treat.  It was a fun evening with chili, games for the kids, and then trunk or  treating outside.  Calin and Clara had way too much fun with too much sugar and got way too much candy!

Josie Calin Clara and Dylan in their costumes at the trunk or treat!

Robby made a pretty cool trunk for the trunk or treat.  Everyone loved it and kept wanting to come back to race more cars!  He came up with this idea last minute but it came together very nicely and he got lots of compliments! He sure is way too creative and way too much fun.  I can't ever keep up.

The race car trunk or treat!
Halloween morning we got the kids in their costumes so we could go over and do some early trick or treating at Great Grandmas.  We showed off the kids costumes, visited for a bit, and then headed back to our house.  It was a nice relaxing day since Halloween was on a Saturday.  We were able to enjoy the afternoon and then get ready to take the kids trick or treating.

Out Trick or Treating
After trick or treating we came back for dinner and to answer the door for trick or treaters at our house.  We had hardly any trick or treaters this year.  It was very sad!  Then we headed over to the Salley Pirate house for their annual Halloween party.  It was a great day and fun Halloween!

October Fun!

Another trip to the temple for story time!  We walked around the temple and grounds and enjoyed a nice sunny fall day.

Clara  and Calin got postcards in the mail!  Grandma Mielke went to Washington D.C. and sent these in the mail.
They were pretty excited!

This postcard must have gotten lost in the mail because it came later even though it was from earlier in Grandma's trip.

Being a tunnel for Dad's Halloween themed track.

And another beautiful fall day at the temple for story time.  They loved going to the temple every Monday.

"Cheese"

We went out to Hurricane to visit Sleepy Hallow.  A little farm out there does a whole sleepy hallow themed farm for October.  This is the hay ride from the parking area to their farm.

They let you pet and feed all the animals there.  Calin liked feeding the horses.

Clara would get so excited but then if the animal got close she'd try to feed them but just end up dropping it all.

She would giggle with this giddy face every time.

Pretty cute how much she loved it trying to feed the animals.

We got to take the kids on a horse ride.

Clara was a little unsure but still loved it.

Calin was nervous to do it on his own but did great and had  fun!

Cruising around the mini hay maze that had a slide.  Clara went in and out and up and down that slide about 50 times!

Checking out the corn maze!

Riding the tractor.

Cute little tractor driver!

In the barn they had a big screen playing "Sleepy Hallow".  The kids enjoyed watching for
a little while before it was time to head home.

On our way out saying bye to the Headless Horseman! Calin was rather nervous about taking this picture.

This was Calin's outfit of choice to play in one day.  He was copying his cousin Gracie
who was also carrying a baby around.

Having fun hanging and swinging like spider man on the bars!
