Our sweet Clara is 11 months. Every month I can't believe another month has gone by, and they just keep going faster. Here are some things about our sweet girl from the last month.
-For a few days she kept doing this little spin while sitting on her bottom and using her legs to spin herself around in a circle. I haven't seen her do it since those few days she did it over and over, but it was pretty cute!
-She loves to wave and waves bye when she hears someone say bye bye, when someone walks away or she thinks someone is leaving. She also waves hi when we come home, or when I get her in the morning or after a nap, or when she hears us say "hi". She also waves at other appropriate and funny times. One day we were having a picnic with Dylan and Alisha outside and she waved to a car that drove by on the road. She also waves when we say goodnight.
-She says mom and dad. They still sound like babbles "momomomom" and "dada dada". She doesn't always say them at the right time, but she does connect it to us. She doesn't say "hi dadada" as much as she used to, but I do still hear it occasionally.
-She is trying so hard to talk and communicate with us lately. She points to everything and babbles like she is trying to talk and tell us about what she sees. She does this especially when we are eating and she wants something we have that she doesn't . She loves to be able to have whatever we are eating and especially loves when she can eat it herself with her hands.
-She makes animal noises: bababa (chicken), tries to do a "moo" more of a maaaa, does sheep noise "baaaa", growls like a tiger, vibrates her lips together like a horse, and our favorite and her most used noise is a fish. She does it with her mouth open and close open and close. We have a book with fish on the front and when she sees it she makes the fish noise. She also does it when I give her the fish in the bathtub or if we ask her to do a fishy. She does however, sometimes do a fishy when she sees other animals.
-She has been liking books more and more and will sit on our laps and listen to lots of different books now. She does still have times when she'd rather get down and play or is mad cause she can't hold the book or turn the pages when we are reading to Calin. She does especially want to read when we are reading to Calin though. She wants to be part of the action.

-She does not like diaper changes at all and as soon as we lay her down she starts crying and trying to roll away. She really squirms and whines until we are done. Sometimes she can be distracted and entertained with songs or a book or toy to hold while we change her, but other times she just keeps crying until she can get up and be off on her way again.
-She is getting quite the little "attitude" and when something happens she doesn't like or she doesn't get what she wants, she does this little grunt/scream to let us know she is not happy.
-She will sometimes give kisses on your cheek with a wide open mouth when we tell her to. She is also learning to blow kisses and puts her hand up to her mouth to blow a kiss.
-She makes airplane noises when holding a little airplane and will "fly" it around making the noise "weaooo weaooo". It is really cute. I've also seen her doing it holding other things too and making the airplane noise.
-She hears and notices airplanes and birds in the sky and will look for them and point to them when she hears/sees them.
-She sleeps from about 8 or 9 until 6 or 6:30. She wakes up to nurse and then will sometimes go back to sleep and sometimes not. She still takes two naps. One in the morning around 9:30 or 10 for about 1/2 and hour and then one around 1:00 for 1.5 to 2 hours. Most of the time I just lay down with her for a couple minutes and she is asleep, but at night I've started just putting her in her bed and staying near by and she lays there until she falls asleep. One of these days we will get her into her crib more permanently (she is in there some nights and some naps) but Calin is really giving us bedtime grief so most of the time I just put her in our room in the pack n play cause she goes to bed earlier than him and sleeps so well.
-She eats really well most of the time. She nurses in the morning, and then again after her nap in the afternoon and then before bed. I give her a bottle after her morning nap and sometimes after her afternoon nap if we are out and about or if it works better with schedules and such. She eats food with us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She likes food that she can eat with her fingers the most, but will still eat baby food and other food I've smashed up as long as she has something she can eat herself. She likes most food, but her favorite is bread. She LOVES anything bready and will just gobble it up. She also really likes peas and a new favorite is corn. She will just eat these one by one and really likes them. She still loves bananas, but only mashed up. I've tried to just give her pieces, but she likes it mashed up better. She also still loves puffs and eats those right up too.
-She weighs about 15 1/2 lbs according to he weigh in a few days ago when we got her eyes checked at the doctor because they were watery and goopy. She is good at taking medicine, but has not liked the eye drops.
-She is in size 2 diapers and wears clothes size 3-9 months. She still fits in some 3-6 month clothes and 9 month is still pretty big on her.
-She finally got her first tooth on the bottom. It is not all the way up, but broke through within the last 2 weeks. We discovered it last Sunday when she decided to eat some of the play dough Calin was playing with and we were digging it out of her mouth and felt the tooth.
-She is starting to like to play games and be more interactive with us and with Calin. She plays hide and go seek with Robby and will come from the kitchen to come find him.
-She loves to be outside and wants to be down on the ground playing in the grass or rocks or dirt or whatever is around. Now that she is walking better I'm hoping she can be down more often, but she still crawls around and gets her little knees filthy. She also really likes to ride the wiggle bike with Robby or I and loves to go on walks to see the animals. She gets so excited when we get to the horses, sheep, or goats. And she'll sometimes start doing the sheep noise when we get by them.
Clara is such a happy sweet baby and we are so blessed to have her. She is one tough cookie with Calin around knocking her over right and left and "playing" with her. He sure does love her though and she loves him too! She is interested in everything around her and want to be a part of everything we do. She is very curious and in to everything. She especially likes to find drawers or baskets and pull everything out of them. She is going to keep me on my toes! She is very patient and accommodating as I try to help her and Calin and she's always good to wait when I'm helping Calin with a tantrum or getting something he needs. We are lucky to have such a fun sweet little girl! We love you Clara!
