Gymnastics

September through November on Tuesdays Calin and I had a mom and tot gymnastics class that we did with Navie and Dylan and their moms.  As per the usual, it always took Calin the first 5-10 minutes to warm up, but then he loved it and really enjoyed most of the things he got to do.  He was often hesitant trying some of the new things, but once he did he usually loved it and wanted to do it again and again! His favorites were the trampoline, and playing/sliding/rolling down the cheese mats.

I loved watching him try new things and excel at a lot of them so well!  It was a fun chance for Calin and I to get to do something just the two of us.  Clara enjoyed her Tuesday morning visits with Grandma Comeford.  Although some of them did not go well, most of the time she did good being left and was not too distraught.

The crew after one of our Tuesdays!  Such cute friends!

Parachute day!

Often, Calin would just sit back watching what everyone else was doing and not being quite ready to participate.  Sometimes after a little watching he'd jump in, but not always.  Running around on the parachute was one thing he never quite warmed up to.  But it did like some of the other activities.

Somersault Pro!

Balancing!

Look at that form! ;)

Walking along the parallel bars.

Playing with balloons.  Often this was how they started out class as everyone was arriving.

At the beginning of class we did a series of exercises and stretches.  Doing the "bear crawl" was always one of  them.  Calin would never do this until finally on the last 3 classes he decided he would! Everything on his time!

These two friends were being awfully cute playing with each other on the cheese mat!

Calin is great at balancing and so I talked him into doing the high beam on his own.  He was quite terrified and had to take my hand every once in a while.

But the look of success at the end was worth pushing him a little to do it!

Loving the marshmallow pit!

Bar time!

He actually did this really well with legs up in the air and straight, but I didn't get a clear picture to show.

Hang time!

Their last day!  Navie and Natalie didn't come the last few weeks because Natalie had her baby!
