I have no idea where January went! We seemed really busy, but now looking back I don't know what with!? But thankfully pictures in my phone help me to remember some of the things we've been up to!
| January 1st brought some snow for us to play in. It wasn't much, but just enough to go out and have some fun! Dylan came over to play in the snow with Calin. They tried to make a snowman, but Calin enjoyed stomping it down instead. |
| Calin was a pro at snow angels from his snow fun in Oregon. He taught Dylan how to make one too. I love her skeptical look like she is wondering what on earth they are doing! |
| Calin and Cash playing together at Preston's birthday party. |
| Clara has been loving playing with the letters on the fridge. Mostly she just pulls them all down onto the floor. |
| She got to be quite the pro at standing on her own this month and started walking! |
We went for a walk to see our neighborhood animals and discovered the sheep had some lambs.
They have been lots of fun to go visit on our walks. |
| One evening after dinner Calin was standing on a stool by the counter and slipped off and hit his head on the corner of the desk that was behind him. He had a pretty good sized gash on the back of his head so we had to take him in to get it checked out. We ended up getting 3 staples in his head. Here he is with the numbing stuff being held on with the blue tape waiting for the doctor to come back and put the staples in. Considering Calin's fears and low pain tolerance, he actually did really well this evening and we made it through. We initially went to insta-care but they sent us to Red Rock Pediatrics. Before we left though, they gave Calin a bunch of stickers and those stickers saved the evening! |
| He got these 3 staples put in and was in pain for a few days, but he did good and we are glad it will be all fixed up! |
| Clara having some fun with Dad! |
My birthday came on the 9th. It was a great day spent with my little family! We went out to breakfast at the Egg and I and it was delicious! Then we came back home to hang out and to work on the cake I made to have later. When we got back I also opened some of my presents cause I didn't want to wait until that night. The kids took naps and I did too. Always nice to lay down and take a nap when the kids are napping. We had a special delivery that was a great surprise and great treat from Becca. Calin enjoyed it just as much if not more than I did!
That a night we went to Buca di Bepo thanks to Josef and Summer's gift card! It was delicious! Then we came home and some of Robby's family came over as well as Kayla and Danny and Alisha all stopped by for some yummy cake and ice cream.
Then after the kids got to bed Robby and I enjoyed some more of the fruit bouquet and watched Austenland (poor Robby). It was a great birthday!
| Clara has figured out how to go up the stairs. Now if we could just get her solid on the coming back down! |
| One of Calin's specialties from the kitchen "French Fry, Hot Dog, and Orange Hot Chocoalate". Sounds delicious right??!! |
At the doctor for the removal of the staples. Despite Calin's happiness in this picture,
I think this was way more traumatic than getting the staples. |
| Robby got a flat tire but had his trusty assistant there to help change it! |
| This has been happening too much lately, the table, the couch, he really does know better! Why do they do this? |
| Story time with Daddy! |
Martin Luther King Jr. weekend we went down to Mesquite to the annual car show. It was a great trip down with wonderful weather and lots of cool cars for Robby and Calin to enjoy! Here were some of our favorites!
One very nice car owner let Calin test the driver's seat out.
We were so grateful cause he really wanted to sit in lots of the cars! |
| Reading with cousin Becca one evening over at Comeford's |
| She loves to point at everything lately and is always trying to show us something new! |
| Robby used some of his Christmas money this year to buy this helmet for Calin. He thought he'd look pretty cool with the helmet and the jersey he got Calin for Christmas too! |
| Clara loves the swing and gets this death grip on the swing and won't let go! |
| Lots of tubby's together! They have lots of fun! |
| For my birthday/Christmas I asked for some new shelves in our laundry/mudroom. Robby spent one day getting the closet all ready for the shelves which meant tearing out some other stuff and re-painting. Our kitchen was a mess and I'd been busy keeping kids busy and at bay so instead of cooking we had a picnic in the living room since our table was covered with stuff we'd taken out while the new shelves got put in. Calin loved it! |
| Nom nom! |
| Our table and counters all looked like this until we could get everything back together. |
| Hard at work! |
| Clara still got to eat in her high chair. |
| One day Calin decided to play in the dirt but got so carried away and had it all over his face! |
| Calin had his first trip to the dentist. He was quite nervous, but only cried when I had to hold him in my lap and lean him back on the dentist so he could look at his teeth. Calin came away with a balloon, a toothbrush, a book, and a free meal for no cavities! He doesn't seem quite so terrified to go back so hopefully it will go even better next time. |
| Calin has been loving playing under the table lately. |
| Clara enjoys joining him sometimes or just making her laps around the table holding onto the chairs as she goes. |
| We all got sick this month, I got it first then poor Clara and then Calin and Robby last. Clara has a couple of rough nights and would only sleep if we were holding her. Robby got her to sleep while I was getting Calin ready for bed and then he crashed too while rocking her. |
| After the 2nd night of lots of crying and little sleeping we took her in to find out she had infections in both ears and bronchiolitis. We got her some antibiotics and she was doing much better after a couple of days. |
| One morning she woke up really early with a temperature still, and was super fussy, but also SO tired. She wouldn't let me hold her so I put her down on the ground and she cried for a minute mad that I had put her down and then just laid herself down to sleep on the floor. She had been holding the thermometer and finally let it go once asleep. She only lasted like this about 5-10 minutes before she was back up and fussing some more. Poor sick girl. |
| A moment of peaceful sleep for this poor sickie. I love how this pic shows off her amazing eyelashes! |
| Feeling better and doing some playing on this stool. She was quite proud of herself when she figured out how to climb up! Calin and Clara both love playing on this stool. |
Our terrible two year old in action...coloring with pen on the couch. He sure has been giving me a run for my money lately! |
| Good thing we have superman around! He was delaying bedtime by hunting bad guys! |
| And he's off! |
the paper is too small. . .he's trying to get your attention. . .he's 2. . .
